Tansy is of Samoan descent and has also lived and worked in Tonga. She is a registered psychologist with clinical scope, and also holds postgraduate qualifications in business.

Currently employed as a team leader with Valley PHO in the Hutt Valley, Tansy has over 20 years' experience working with individuals and families in various capacities including statutory social work, community management, corrections psychological service and as an advisor with the High & Complex Needs Unit.

She also has experience in multi-modal approaches, collaborative tools and facilitating therapeutic groups. Tansy is married with children - and grandchildren - six at last count.
