Sue Mafi

Sue Mafi BA, PG Dip Ed Psych, Dip Tchg, MNZPS, Clinical Psychologist

Sue is clinical psychologist in private practice in Auckland. She is a palagi whose marriage to her Tongan husband has brought her to Pacific psychology.

She has been a psychologist for thirty years, and worked as a psychologist for the Child, Youth and Family Service for 14 years before entering private practice. Sue provides assessments and therapeutic intervention for adults, children, young people and families.

Her experience includes assessment and report writing for the Family and Criminal Courts and consultation to the Police and evidential video units. Sue has provided supervision for a wide range of practitioners including counsellors, psychotherapists, intern psychologists working towards registration and psychologists in different work settings.

Sue is committed to supporting Pacific people to qualify in psychology to improve services being offered to these communities.
